Grand Daughter's White Rotary Machine

3 Attachment(s)
This machine now belongs to my oldest grand daughter. She will be 6 in a few months. It comes from her dad's Great Aunt, and was brought along in their shipment, when they moved back to CA from NY. It has every attachment known to man in the drawers. Have no idea the last time it was used. A friends hubby has taken up sewing machine repair (probably to save money considering his wife's stable of machines). He finds them all over the place at great prices and makes them live again. He's very good at almost everything mechanical or electrical etc.

He put a new foot on this machine, and redid the wiring as it was scary. The original wiring is stapled inside the cabinet and was a fire hazard looking for a place to happen. Ordered a couple of parts and she's working great. He also cleaned her up really pretty. It's good to know people... especially friend's who have gifted hubby's.

As a side note. Some of the machines this man has found and restored to life have been given, free of charge, to quilters who lost their homes in the big Thomas Fire here in the county. It's good to get a new start in life when disaster has fallen upon you. Bless him and his giving nature

Yes, she appreciates him a great deal. They've been married 43 yrs, and their anniversary was just last week. They are nice decent folks that are really fun.

I've often thought that quilters who lose everything might be in need of machines/supplies/etc. God bless him for donating.

That may be a nicer machine than you expect. If the serial # under the balance wheel starts with MG, the body is magnesium. Love those little 3/4 machines. Nice to have talent folk who share their skills.

I have this machine, too! It was my Grandmother's and I learned to sew a little bit on it...still works well!
