Graybar
It's up for auction this weekend. What do you think it's worth?

Again, it depends on what you are willing to pay. It is a common class 15 design that has been badged Graybar. It looks in relatively good condition. I would start at $25 and not go higher then $40 but that is me.

I can't believe they put stickers on the wooden case! Just had to vent about that - I agree that I wouldn't go over $40.00. Good luck!
|
I agree about those stickers. Who ever did that is a nincompoop. I'd deduct $10.00 just for the trouble of easing those stickers off the case.

No more than $25. Always consider that the sewing machine and/or the control pedal may need re-wiring. Oh, yes, I agree with Joe, deduct $$$ for the numbskull who put the sticker on the case.

For removing stickers from wood, try OOPS, GOOF OFF, lighter fluid or mineral spirits before pulling on the sticker. It may save you some grief.

Donna,
Thanks for that tip. Now, how about this: I got a box of Greist attachments from auction and those ijits had put a masking tape label on the box. Of course that's all but torn the surface off. How can I separate the tape from the box surface? If I can do that I can carefully glue the torn part back down. Joe |

Also, WD40 works great to remove stickers. Just spray, let sit and use a plastic scrapper and gently start to remove sticker. Usually the top will come off first and then the bottom sticky residue.
Agree, some ijits just don't have a clue! |
Maybe alcahol will work on cardboard. Oil can mess it up. Just be slow, careful and cautious.
