I "found" this in my basement, not a Featherweight , but exciting :lol: My parents bought it used for me about 25 years ago , then life got in the way and it had to be put aside :cry: Just remembered it was down there so went to check it out. Needs some work and some parts :cry:

It looks like it's in fairly good shape with being stored for such a long time. Have fun with your new "old" machine.

Do you need a belt? That rubber wheel looks like it runs the bobbin winder at the other end of it. The smaller lever against it holds the bobbin in place, and pops up when the bobbin is full. The larger lever in the middle engages it or dis-engages it when not needed. It looks like it is engaged in the picture. No belt needed as the larger wheel turns it.

OMG! This machine was the identical to my very first machine. Even down to the cabinet. Talk about fond memories. I made clothes then. Right down to men's dress pants. Then just before it gave up the ghost I was making doll bodies for a collectible doll company and doll clothes. Tons of them. Oh how I loved that machine. I have picked up another one just like from a private party. But I don't seew much on it because I have a new Kenmore. The old one just sits there and looks pretty.

It is missing the belt completely look at the motor in the rear and see nothing is attached to it.

Sharron I like it and judging from the serial I am going to say it is around 1968ish give or take a year or two. I love the color and that is too cool to find a treasure that your mom and dad gave you!!

This looks exactly like the machine my mom sold at a garage sale several years ago. Even the cabinet looks the same. AND, I live in Northern Indiana as I see you do... wouldn't it be funny if this was her machine?!
