Yep, it took me and bf to carrying it out and put it in the truck!

Both of you ladies are lucky! Great finds, to be sure.

Thanks Pam! I was so excited. Saturday was community garage sales, and it was just sitting in a yard, no sale with a 15.00 sign on it, in the cabnit, probaly alot of people didnt even know it was a sewing machine. Nosey me, I tell bf, hey, stop the truck, lol!

Great find! Lucky you but be careful, don't want to hurt yourself. I tweeked my back the other week getting a machine out of the car without help. So had to take it easy for a couple of days. But I am better now.

Where's our 'resident vintage expert'? Maybe he knows something we don't.

just wondering if we're correct in the Singer 15 being Green? Is it a 15 or a 15-91? I've seen both but none of them are Green.

Thanks

I would have to see the serial to be certain but singer had a 15 that was a green before they came out with the newer body style like this one shown.

But I would be willing to bet the farm it is a 15 just from a few of the features I can see from the photo. The first thing is the location of the bobbin and the tension assembly. Then you can look at the stitch regulator and the way the motor is attached.

It clearly has a 15 on the front under the stitch regulator. The serial number is AM460xxx. According to the Singer site is a 15 50,000 allotted 3/8/1956. When looking for a manual, I'm directed towards the 15-91. Confused here? Is it a 15 or 15-91 or some other 15-xx?

I didn't see anything about it being green before black. Can you tell me where you're finding this info?

IF you still need them, I can post pictures of the areas you requested seeing later.

Thanks for taking your valuable time to answer my questions. I appreciate it.
