Another one that will sit forever because the seller didn't do enough homework to know how common it is.

That is one snazzy paint job! Someone who's a Husky fan in WA state might buy it. Ya never know!

Completely overhauled and serviced the old straight stitchers are well worth the price of the purple one. A professional repaint in itself will cost me much more around here. The factors that bringing down the prices are mostly there's always more than a few for sale and they are not new or the latest any more. The odd thing is new straight stitchers are expensive, often high speed, some kind of special edition or industrial model. I'm glad there's bargains to be found even if they need a lot of cleaning and oiling. I lean towards keeping the original finish, maybe a few touch ups, but if it's very worn down I don't mind someone redoing it in a nice color. I wonder what a 301 would cost new today, a well made straight stitcher with forged steel gears still cost a bit more than the average economy model.

Pretty, but way over my price range. I like the original look of machines anyway.

I agree a teal or aqua would look nicer but like all of you a bit on the high side.

My first 301 had to settle for some slip slide decals - Roses, of course, for AnnieRose. My second one hasn't been decorated yet. No, I didn't pay over $100 for either of them.

That little purple gem would be right at home here in Ravens country.

I personally wouldn't pay even the price of the opening bid, but that's me. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to service and paint her very well (at least according to pictures) and perhaps there's someone out there with money burning a hole in their pocket. If that's the case, buy the thing and then sew up your pocket with it. LOL
