Has Anyone Seen One Like This?
 

Recent purchase is to satisfy my curiosity. Saw this on eBay and my curiosity was piqued. The foot control, motor, and electrical connections are similar to my Necchi BU Nova. It takes standard class 15 1 o'clock bobbin and bobbin case. The interesting feature is a pump oiler. One can pump oil from a reservoir onto and into bearings via a top mounted thumb pump. The motor is tagged "Brother." There is no JA number. The bold boxy and weight are very masculine, not soft. It needs lots of cleaning but does run. But, I was wondering if it is a total anomaly or have others encounter such a machine. It was sold as an auction purchase from a retired tailor. Sounds plausible. Miriam? Joe? I know I paid too much for it, but, HEY, I don't gamble or drink. (Last sentence for my wife's benefit:o.)

Don't drink much:o! No, actually that is a little parts container. If I'm going to lose small parts I prefer to lose them all together!:thumbup:

I think if you drink the parts in the cup you might find them again anyway...

I have no idea what it is or who made it. I've never seen one. Looks like a light industrial machine though.

You have an industrial machine. They have their own oil pans to avoid unskilled workers from burning them up. I worked for Jantzen Knitting Mills years ago, and we had that type of machine, but not that specific model. We had to push the oil button before each shift, and before starting again after lunch.

My curiosity is satisfied. Today I finished the initial cleaning of this Capri branded whatever it is. OMGosh, I expected it to be a solid machine, but I was still astounded how well it is made and the stitching it does. It will compete with my best machines. Of course it only straight stitches but has the power to power a ZZ attachment if needed.
