Help Identifying Old Kenmore Machine

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys, I picked up this vintage machine at a thrift store the other day for $8 and was hoping to get it going and try it out. However, I cannot find any info on this exact machine anywhere. Many similar types but none with the 3 knobs across the top. The Table has a placard that says it's a sears roebuck model 66 127 but that did not turn up anything. The motor on the machine has the model number 1290.

I would love to get it back in condition and make some stuff so anyone has some info to point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The few Kenmores I have with tables have separate model numbers for the table itself, which may be the 66.127 you reference.

If you lift up the machine out of the table, just under the base running along the front edge, is there a stamped metal plate with a number XXX.XXXX or something like that? If so check towards the bottom of this page

and see if you can find a model number. The newest Kenmore I had was a Model 52 but had a different number on the stamped plate I am referring to. You may be able to use the XXX.XXXX number in a site such as sewingpartsonline.com to come up with the Model number. If you figure out a model number then try manualslib.com to search for either a Sears XX or Kenmore XX.

Hey, thanks a ton! Found the name plate, it's 158-923. Will check out the references you mentioned as well. Cheers!

Hey thanks for the tip, I ended up getting the manual from etsy for $6, nearly what I paid for the machine LOL
