Help with New Home model ID, please

Sorry for the glare in the picture. Bought this New Home treadle yesterday and I'm having trouble identifying the model. Serial # is 3798691 and after calling the Janome 800 number she told me it was made in 1918 and was either a Model A, E, or F. I've tried Google, the Smithsonian website, and sewing-machine-manuals.com, but can't seem to find a like picture. All the others have the cast pillars with metal attachment on top for tension. Can't seem to find any other numbers on the machine other than the serial number on the face plate. Does anyone know if the face plates were interchangeable over the years? Could I have a faceplate with serial number from a different machine?
Thanks in advance for any info you can share.

Pretty machine! It looks like it was well taken care of.

Thank you, jlhmnj, for the info and web site! Can't believe that I never noticed the C within the decal. I'm pretty stoked!!! Have another treadle waiting for me in Montana, but when I saw this CL ad and it was only .5 miles from my house, I couldn't pass it up. It came with a box of attachments, 2 shuttles and 8 bobbins. Think once I get all the cobwebs out, I'll be treadling away. Thanks again!

BTW - yes, the plates are interchangeable. I have a very similar looking machine - but it's rotary instead of VS. That is a very nice looking New Home.

Thanks, macybaby. It's in really great shape. Don't think it's been used much at all. Hope I look that good at 96:D I'm on the look out for a manual. Any suggestions?
