Help with new to me Skandinaven

I recently purchased this Skandinaven machine in it's cabinet. I haven't been able to find any information on it. I would appreciate any info that you could provide.

This is barn fresh. I haven't done any cleaning at all.
Thank you in advance. Donna G. Olympia WA

Sorry, I have no info. But, wanted to say, she sure is a beauty. I'm sure someone here will be able to help.

Welcome to the board! I am sure that one of the folks who are familiar with the newer machines like that will pop in here and help.

My guess would be a badged Davis, but it really is newer than I collect so the subtle differences that show who actually made it are still somewhat lost on me.

BTW, we are arranging a get together in your area the Saturday after Thanksgiving, you should try to attend!

Welcome!
I'm no good with the ID either. Please read the stickies on cleaning older machines and watch Muv's videos. The finish and decals are in good shape on your machine but it's very easy to destroy them through using improper cleaning methods. Sewing machine oil is safe and is the cleaner of choice for many of us. Also, Glenn has an excellent tutorial on restoring your cabinet's finish. The wood looks like it's in good shape overall so with just a little work it will be a gorgeous machine. It's well worth the effort.

Welcome Donna! I also live in Olympia and there are several more people here on QB who are close by. Like Steve said, you are welcome to come to our next get together, we would love to meet you!

I'm sure we've discussed this badge before - and not that long ago.

This was also sold under the badge "Bartlett" but that was the reseller name, and I don't remember who made it . . . so if you search that, you'll find an assortment of machines with that name on them, and a few will be identical to yours except the name (including decals).

I kept thinking it's National - and after reviewing older threads I remembered why I thought that LOL!!

Did find this thread -http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage-antique-machine-enthusiasts-f22/bartlett-treadle-need-home-t264482.html

and another - this has a picture farther down (page 3) that shows the Bartlett with the same basic decals

Cathy comes to the rescue. I keep thinking i may have one like this in my collection but the treadles are under cover. I don't want to go and open them all up.

Very pretty, Thanks for sharing. Love to see all the various decals in the vintage machines. Whets my desire to get "maybe" another machine.
