So far I've put in about 7 hours on polishing and still a long, long way to go. I have the faceplate done, the tension parts done, working on the inner parts in the head, the slide plate done, but I can't break the screws loose for the second slide plate on the right side and I can't break the screw loose that holds on the presser foot. I also can't get the handle or what ever it's called inside the flywheel to turn, the part that stops the needle from moving when you wind the bobbin. I received my bobbin winder tire and now the bobbin winder works. Yay! I have soaked it with PB blaster. What else can I do to try and loosen the frozen parts. I turned the machine up yesterday and oh, my, the old, thick layer of oil under there. I sprayed it with PB blaster. I went looking for a tiny wire brush but couldn't find one. Any other suggestions. Also, someone said not to put mag polish on the moving parts, but Lizzie's video says to use metal polish on them. Not sure which way to go. Thanks for the help.
