Help please? vintage White model 1466

Hello from the Deep South!
Lucky me, I just bought a vintage White model 1466 :) at an estate sale for $20.00. YAY! Is anyone familiar with this machine? I'd really like to know more about it, please. Any info would be much appreciated as I haven't been able to find this one online. Oh, and it says Made in Japan. I believe I might have been bitten by the "vintage bug" that y'all have; I now have 5, lol.
Bye for now,
Sandra Dee

Hi Sandra, the manual for your machine is on the Singer website: http://www.singerco.com/uploads/down...ite-1466-x.pdf

Pictures coming.. it's still in the car, super heavy! I'm pretty sure that it is in the original table that it came with. Thanks for the welcome :D:thumbup:

More questions re the White 1466

I also have a White 1466 that's been in the family for awhile ......BUT..... no foot pedal! I can't seem to find it either. It does have the two cords coming out ot the machine but that does me no good. Anyone know where I can find? I've done some searching to no avail. Thanks in advance!

Is it in a cabinet, or just a base? If it is in a cabinet, it may have a knee controller. Either way, i believe, it should have what is a double outlet. If it is in a cabinet, the "motor block" would be screwed into the wall of the cabinet, which would be connected to the knee controller. Amazon has several with the foot controller attached. One of which is this one. (click on the the words 'this one' as it is a link.) They are labeled "motor" and "light" which are sometimes hard to see. If you plug in the motor to the light outlet, the machine will start sewing immediately without the use of the controller.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...d-t312607.html

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
