Help

A friend just gave me a Brothers xv-950. he knows I like old machines, and just knew I couldn't live without it. It is in good shape, just dusty. It has no controller and no cords, no manual. I couldn't find any info on the net about it. Is anyone familiar with that machine? I would appreciate any info. I love you guys and your hints and pictures. I have my mothers's featherweight, a 301, a back clamp 66 with tiffany cabinet and a 127 Sphynx and bentwood case that I am currently working on. Thanks

Perhaps you can find info on it on the Brother web site?

You know I did know it was vx just didn't type it right. loved the manual thank you so much, I did try the brother web site, but not too much info. I have a lot of reading to do. This machine is foreign territory to me. So once I get a controller and cords, then I'll work on feet, and then see if it really works. Again thanks for your help

Thanks for the info. Loved the manual. I knew it was a VX just typed it wrong. Not too much info on the brothers sight. I have a lot of reading to do because this machine is foreign territory for me. Now I have to find the controller and cords and then work on the feet. So sometime soon I will get to play with it. Again thanks for your help

Per a recent thread here, check for broken gears in the machine before you go and order parts for it. It may not be viable and a waste of money if the gears are broken.

Thanks so much for the info. I should have remembered the thread and didn't. I'll check it out before invest in a controller or anything else. It will be awhile before I play with it. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks again
