So nice. I have one too and I love it. It is the best machine for sewing around fusible applique.

Awwww, that looks just like my grandmothers machine!!!! Wonder what ever happened to it...........I'm envious! I still have my quilt she made for me on it, dated 1969. Have fun with her!

link for a (new) walking foot. I just bought one for my 403. (member) Roberta just bought a 403 & walking foot, too.

Does your machine take the "top hat" drop in cams? I just bought some, shared with Roberta, and ended up with about 5-7 "triplicates".

I know that it takes cams... but I think they are built in. This one is a 401A... but I think you still can change them out? I wonder if the walking foot would fit this machine as well?

Oh yeah, that's cool!

It should, I just looked up 401A & its one of the Slantomatic series. It is much like my (third owner, owned since 1974) 403.

If yours takes drop in cams, they should work, tho, since yours is a 400 series.

cool, learned (link below) you have a built in cam stack, but also take cams for additional stitches. Interesting!!!
