Hope everything dries out okay for you.

The mess is - something one could have done nicely without!

Aw Joe, it makes me tired just thinking of the cleanup on that one. Hope the chore is completed quickly so that you two can spend time doing something more fun.

Thank goodness you had your stuff in plastic containers. What a pain in the ****!

Joe, that is another BIG reason to move. Heart wrenching to look at the water in your space. Did the kitties get water wings?

We have been trying to move since last year. So far we haven't found a single outfit who will work with us to get a mortgage. And the realtors just turn their backs on us the minute they find out we aren't going to get them a huge commission. It's very frustrating.

The basement is pretty much dried out now. Now I've got to get busy checking things. Sunday is car race day for me, always has been so I sat on my behind watching NASCAR and Indy car races. I'm tired now. :)
Seriously I'll get to the basement tomorrow and get things squared away.

All our cats but Pollyanna the polydactyl stayed up stairs. Polly came down and walked around with us getting her feet wet. Take a step, shake the foot, take another step shake the foot. Hard to clean up the mess with a goofy cat in the way.

Joe I feel for you and your wife, but there must be reasons why you can't get a loan on a house. Maybe you need to find a rental in the area you want to move. There has got to be a way to get you moved.

J Miller 06-02-2013 04:35 PM

Skip,

We have looked at that too. There is several problems with renting, starting with landlords, no security, exorbitant rent cost, and our budget. If we can get a mortgage for a home the payments will be way less than rent. That is our main goal, to find us a permanent home and reduce our expenses. As it is, we are rapidly going broke in this rental house. The landlord raised the rent by $50.00 at the first of the year and we just can no longer afford it.

We also want out of IL for many reasons. So we are looking and considering all aspects. We just need someone to work with us.

Keep trying Joe and you will get there. We hope the best for you and your wife. Well anyway I am cleaning a NFV and trying to repair the cabinet and it is not going well. The more I fix the more I find wrong but I am getting there

Skip,

We will, that's for sure.

What is a NFV? I can't keep these initials straight in my mind.

As for finding more that needs fixed as I get into fixing things, been there, done that.
