I paid a bit more than I usually would for a machine, but in the end I think you'll agree it was worth it.

Here it is after i get home from picking it up.

BTW that bonnet is not that color naturally, it is PAINTED that color.... Same with the irons, matching paint.

So here is the treadle after my DD and I both kicked in our OCD for about 7 hours straight.

We'll let this settle in for a bit before I show you the machine that MADE us do this....
(the machine needed NOTHING but a dusting... I would not dare to do more to it anyway)

EDIT: This was yesterday, today the irons are apart being stripped and the drawer boxes and drawers are being "un chic'd"

Wow! Great job. Who would have thought underneath all that paint would be such a beauty?

wilburness 10-12-2014 01:36 PM

good eye steve! I am anxious to see what is under that lid...

Tartan 10-12-2014 01:38 PM

Well that cabinet sure is beautiful now! I can't wait to see the machine!

Macybaby 10-12-2014 01:49 PM

I"m pretty amazed - what are you using to remove the paint?

barny 10-12-2014 02:00 PM

Wow, SteveH. You have uncovered a queen or a King.ha. Gorgeous wood! What kind of wood is this? Cherry or Walnut? You and your Daughter do a wonderful job cleaning them up. I can't imagine the work. Can't wait to see the machine. Barny
