I need a motor mount screw for a New HOME AB

I struck out at my LSMG today. He did not have a screw that would work for a motor mount screw on my New Home Model AB.

The motor mount screw is the same basic system as Singer used, except the screw is smaller.
As best as I can tell it's a 1/4" screw but with an odd thread pitch. Naturally.

So if anyone on the QB has a motor mount screw for a New Home AB or similar model they'd like to part with, please PM me.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Though a parts machine screw would be MUCH preferable, I was thinking perhaps a 1/4 x 20 tap might get some bite to cut new threads. Sort of a last case resort.

Jon,

Yeah, I've been thinking along those lines too. But I'm in no hurry. I'll keep looking. There might be a metric that will match up too. The only thing I know for sure is it's either a 1/4" or 6 mm. I've got a metric thread pitch gauge in the garage I've got to try. That might tell me something.
