The bobbin cover, spool holder & belt is missing. Other than that I think t just needs cleaning. Before I buy any parts I would like to make sure it is a 115. According to Singer the date for it is 1920. |
Post the bobbin shuttle area - can't really tell from the top side, though it probably is a 115 as the 15's in this style are a lot rarer. If you need parts, let me know as I've got two 115 that look just like it in the shed. I've got a third waiting to pick up that I'm going to keep.

Could someone kindly tell me why there are two thread guiding 'slots' on the top of the side plate of this machine? On nanjam's second photo, one on top left and one on top right, but as you sew at the machine, one in front and one in back. Thank you. I have been wondering this about my own 15 clone (avatar photo.) It is a simple stitch and as far as I know one-thread only, but I am missing something?

The below link is for a Singer 115 manual. Page 5 of the manual shows the bobbin/race assembly. If your machine matches, then you do have a 115. Congrats. She will clean up fine and will be an awesome stitcher.

Your model 115 will take a regular class 15 slide plate, tap in spool pin and regular 15x1 needles. The parts are readily available. I purchased mine from Sewclassic. Same for the treadle belt. The bobbins are an "L" type also available from Sewclassic. I am sure that there are other vendors that sell the parts you need, but I have always been happy with Sewclassic's prompt service.

Thanks, Caroline. I just made my first sew classic order. This will be my first "rehab" & I am so looking forward to it. I am also cleaning up my 201 which was my first machine 50 years ago & has been the most dependable of any machine I have had & am also doing a cleanup on my 15 made in Japan clone. Got to get some sewing done in there somewhere. :0) Christmas will be here before we know it!! ;)

Missing parts
Wondering if anyone has a needle shaft thread guide and screw for a singer 115. I’m restoring one for my daughter and the previous owner broke the screw head.
