most likely NOT an 1890's machine. Probably that is the earliest patent it shows...

It never ceases to amaze me how a person can see 4 patent dates, and assume that the machine was made at the earliest date. As if they somehow preplanned the later dates... weird.

Nice machine though. It looks a lot like a "New Howe"

No, sadly not. It's just so pretty. Every time I see it I like it :) Maybe when I'm older and all the littles are big, I can have some room for all these beauties :)

:) true! they always go with earliest date. kind of like a copyright on a book. go for the latest date!
