This should bring up a beautiful parlor cabinet treadle at auction this Saturday night. They also have a nice Featherweight with a lot of attachments and bobbins. At the end of the list they have what appears to be a very nice 201 Singer but I'm not positive on that model. |
Nice cabinet, though it is strange they didn't open the other door.
The other one is a 201-2. I have one in the same cabinet. |
My sentiments exactly!!!!

Good thing it's in Texas! I like the storage built into the to0p of the door. It is strange they didn't open the other door.
Rodney EDIT: Are you bidding on it? For that I would make room. |
It is so frustrating to me that they always market these as furniture.. no decent pics of the machine itself....

That's a beautiful cabinet.

they probably didn't take the time to figure out that there is a little latch at the bottom of the inner door - you can't open it unless you reach down and release it first.

I am up here in Ontario, Canada drooling over that auction . Naturally, the machines but I like the look of some other things too. And you guys all talk about the distance. Out of the question for me.

The second to last picture is the left side door opened showing the hidden compartment. A friend of mine has this same cab/machine. Whenever I'm at her house I try to talk her into selling it to me. She has never used it.But I have and it sews so nice.
