I'm down by 2 sewing machines!
I gave my White away (because the tension spring was broken) and because the buyer wanted to give it to a quilting student of hers. Which is awesome to hear a young person wants to quilt. The same person bought my Featherweight. I'm happy to know it went to a good home. She thought it had been repainted because it was so immaculate. Maybe I should have asked for 50$ more, lol.
Sure was hard to let her go as she was so tiny and so pretty. |
It's so good to get a sewing machine to a new quilter. But I hope it gets fixed before they start to use it. That can be very frustrating to start sewing on something that doesn't work.

Oh they know about the spring that's why instead of my asking price of 40$ I told her they could have it for free. The lady owns a quilt shop and her husband also quilts. She said he had a humongous machine on a 20 ft table? Or maybe it was 18ft. Anyway, I'm sure he can fix it. She now has 61 sewing machines with the addition of the featherweight.

Nice to get a machine to a new quilter. Not sure I would have let the Featherweight go though.

Being down to 2 sewing machines is like being down to having 2 stray cats... nature will see that you can take more, and the void will be filled soon enough :)
