Information on this serger

I have this serger. I haven't used it for years. I took it out of the original box to use it and my book was not in there and it didn't have any needles. Can anyone tell me what type of needles it uses and where I might get a copy of the book?

it says it is a factory lock FR-852L.
Thank you in advance.

I found nothing on this serger. This might be helpful https://sewing.patternreview.com/SewingDiscussions/topic/99356.
My guess is that it is the same as some other serger, with just a different name on it.

In the same situation with a sewing machine, you look for a sewing machine that appears to be the same. You go to the manual sites and look at pictures until you find it. I would start looking at babylock sergers, if they make them.

Hopefully, someone else will have a better idea.

I'm wondering if https://www.ebay.com/itm/BERNINA-FR-...-/264697750298 would work and have the information you need.

Depending on the age of the machine, could be a BLx1 or DCx1 needle system https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png

As usual, it seems you've solved the problem, Janey.
