Are the wicks something that should be changed or if the grease looks good, should I just keep the old ones in there?

I've been studying that blog pretty hard.

I'll be changing mine of course. I guess it depends on what you find when you check yours, but I figure, since you're going that far, why not change them? Just be very careful removing the old ones, if you break that little tab there are no replacements for those.

I do not believe that the Lacquer that they used contained any lead. Now, Japanese clones on the other hand, maybe...

That's fantastic to have the manual and adjusters manual. My 15-91 didnt have one with it. :( You've been spending time checking it out, that's awesome!

Margie, I was able to download both the manual and adjuster's manual. You might poke around google.

Just my advice, but please replace your bulbs regularly. Or at least look at it. They don't always fail to light when they need to be changed.

I've taken apart the machine and I was concerned about the wiring for the light. The previous owner didn't replace a bad bulb which caused a lot of resistance and the wiring suffered. The light switch will need some attention as well. I'm going to have to do some wiring there.
The wiring for the motor, the cord and to the foot pedal appear to be fine.

I've disassembled it as far as I think I'm going to. Here she is in the throws of her Super-Deluxe Mega Spa treatment.

Oops. Need to get those badges off.

Drats!

How do you get the badge off? I looked up inside thinking I could push the brads backwards, but they don't go all the way through to the inside of the machine.
