I have a 1951 Free Westinghouse sewing machine. The manual says the bobbins are #1225 style. I have only one, and have not found any. Does anyone know where I can get these before I try online....I only have Walmart locally and I am one hour away from fabric stores.....

Thanks!
Debbie

I would call the Sears store parts line...I believe westinghouse was either put out by sears or bought out by them at some point...if that doesn't help, call your local sewing machine repair place...even if they don't have it, they might be able tp point you in the right direction!
Good thing it came with the 1 bobbin!!! Donna

Try Sew4Less.com. They have many machine bobbins from old to new. They are very helpful and they ship quickly. Good luck.

It is probably a standard rotary bobbin which will fit the early Kenmores, Whites, 96-40 Singers.

Hi Debbie,I always get my parts for my old machines either at "Singer", or most vacume cleaner dealer/repair shops also can get them for me.My machines are really old.If not, they could sure tell you where to get them. And most bobbins back then were interchangable with other brands.Unless it's a bullet type, then their differen't sizes, but even then, ebay carries a huge selection of them.Do you have a westinghouse sewing center in your area? How about a parts/repair shop for sewing machines?Again,Singer can help you most I bet. They have connections in the business you know.Good luck.
