It's SteveH's fault

For a guy who is neither my son or spouse, he sure does get me to spend a lot of money!

This is my latest find - once I learned of these I just had to have one for the Shed. It's on display, but also ready to be used. I have the manuals and a few other items to go with it.

I've been slowly getting things together - put up some side shelves to hold buttonholers and zigzag attachments - not to haul them out of the house.

And I place for the cabinet drawers - they fit perfectly. Most of these came from that "2 van loads" of stuff I hauled home. I'm going through that and figuring out what is worth keeping and what is not. My husband would like more of his storage shed back.

And also working on organizing my attachments. I'm trying to match up sets with those pictured in the manuals - one for each machine. Then I'll go through what is left and organize them - and set aside the duplicates.

My grandmother would organize some of her things by writing on notepaper and wrap the note around it and hold in place with a rubber band on the container. When I saw the photo of the attachment boxes it made me think of how she often organized items. Just an idea!

It's looking awesome Cathy. I love the smaller cubbyhole shelves on the sides of the main stack and the way you found to use the SM drawers.
The tailoring gizmo is neat too. :)

I know it's private and you're likely to be along for any tours but have you thought of making signs for each machine/item?

EDITED to add question.

I would feel so overwhelmed. Good thing you're so organized!

Now I understand the tailor frames. They are very cool.

Where the heck did you find those frames? I just cannot imagine that there are many of them around anymore but who knows. They do look fantastic the way you have them displayed. Nice that you got them and maybe saved them for others to see. I still cannot believe all the bits and pieces you have for machines. And I even bought some from you a while back and still there are so many!!!

You've done a lot of work organizing and it all looks so well put together. Enjoy! (Yes, I know you're not done yet, but so far it looks terrific.)

I have to be honest and accept the fact - that I have too many buttonholers! And that is not even counting the Singer ones. . . .

I've been thinking of setting up a few slanted display boards to put on the top shelves instead of machines. While I'm not worried about the machines falling, it's a bit difficult to get them down!

KLO - if you are patient and willing to spend an hour or two a day looking - almost anything will eventually show up on eBay.

Cathy, Yes, it looks like patience is a virtue in this case. I really do love the way you have the pieces displayed but then all of your displayed items are well thought out and easy to see especially if one is lucky enough to be able to visit. So are there suppose to be five pieces in the whole drafting system? I've seen lesser numbers so figured they were missing something. Guess it's time to google for more info. I am so looking forward to when SteveH finally posts photos of their intended wedding attire made with this system.
