I've been bitten..
So, I apparently have bitten by the vintage sewing machine bug... I have fought it for a couple of years now (since I bought my featherweight and was gifted a Singer 66) but last weekend found a 301a and a Singer 99 for less than $50 for both and so I concede. I have read this forum quite a bit, but wanted to introduce myself because I will likely be asking a lot of questions! My new additions need some love.

Welcome aboard Joanna! Sounds like you got a great deal on your newest additions. If you like your featherweight and 66, you'll like your new machines as well.

smart girl....read and educate and then fall. I've seen so many posts on facebook "look what I bought" and they are machines you can't get needles for etc. Those are treasures too, but not very friendly for beginners.

great start! welcome! I'm here sporadically- the 'bug' bit me again and hanging out here fuels it - made the mistake of joining a lot of facebook vintage sewing groups LOL! like being in a bakery and on a diet!

I also have a 301A and the 99K. Love both of them although I paid a lot more for mine. Hoping to find a good 306W when we go to Wisconsin this fall. Welcome to "The Land of Vintage".

Welcome! I've not joined the train yet, but sure am tempted to get a Featherweight! I know I don't need it, but would really like to have one. I have two Berninas (one that's brand new) and a White treadle so am having problems justifying another machine. Anybody want to help me deicde whether to get one or not?
