Joe - look what I got!
This was in with all the sewing attachments I just got - I feel so special now!

Now you need to set the timing to get your points to open at the right time. Not sure how you're going to do that on a sewing machine. LOL

Cathy,
I also got a set of points in a batch of accessories last year. I laughed myself silly when I found them. They looked so much like the sewing machine accessories I didn't even see them in the add. I think the set I got fits a GM 6 cyl but I'm not sure. Joe |
Odd little metal bits do seem to find their way into the sewing machine stuff don't they. I was checking attachments on Ebay and there's a ceiling light bracket in with one batch I was looking at.

I forgot to add: Don't throw anything out until you're sure what it is. I didn't know what the chain stitcher parts were for my Touch & Sew until I read the manual.

I also learned the hard way - long ago I had a shuttle that had a broken off bobbin stuck in it. DH tried to remove it, but that silly pin would not budge. Thinking it would never be usable, I must have tossed it. Boy was I not happy when I bought my New Queen and discovered that White machines take a shuttle with a pin in it! I looked and looked and couldn't find the shuttle . . . I have plenty now.
I had no idea what the above item was, I handed it to my DH, he knew right away, and I remembered Joe posting about finding some in a box of attachments. I get a kick out of sellers saying "lot of 10 attachments" when they really have a disassembled tucker (three pieces), 2 curtain hooks and a lead sinker along with a few real attachments. So far I've only gotten one fish hook, been building up quite a collection of bodkins and leather punches/needles, and a lot of curtain hardware. |
