Kenmore 117.841

Does anyone know if the cams for this machine are hard/impossible to find? I plan on getting this machine but don't think it has cams with it. I looked up which ones (kenmore facebook group says F) but I'm not seeing anything on ebay that looks like one of the pics I saw.

I'm wondering if maybe another machine uses the same cams? from what I read this machine was made by a german company that also made Pfaff but White contracted with them because they needed a zigzag machine to keep Sears' contract...so maybe there were other badges on the same machine?

I'm so used to ebay at least having something of what I'm looking for - maybe not a specific machine but the accessories at least!

I have this machine Susanna. Send me a PM if you need any info about it either now or when you own it. Happy to have you join the 117.841 club!

I can photograph my cams, that may help you out.

Oh, I also have scans of ads for this machine in the 1957/58 Sears catalogs that I'd be happy to share.

thanks Kenmoregal2! I tried to replay a couple of hours ago but computer jammed on me :-( I think I have pics of the cams from files on a kenmore facebook group - just hard to find them on ebay. I think they only made them for this one machine unless some other machines are badged for other companies with the same ones. I seldom use decorative stitches but thought it'd be cool to have the cams if I could find them

Cams are easy to find. I have four Kenmore. Three take cams. I found cams at Goodwill for 4.00 for a whole box. they are interchangeable on some machines. I love my Kenmore machines.
