Kenmore Tri Span 88

Husband bought this for me at an estate sale yesterday for $50.00.

It has all 30 cams, an owner's manual and it's in a cabinet with a little stool that has storage under the seat.

I had to screw the stitch width regulator back on.

The light bulb socket is stuck!

Other than that, everything seems to work okay-I just have kind of a learning curve on using a machine with cams...

Great husband!

Yep.

Can't find a better man.

But the sewing machine is a bit daunting with the cams and all of it. Yikes!

I've heard that once you get all of the adjustments down that it's truly a stellar machine.

It is the quietest one yet and makes a beautiful stitch but it's so complicated

Whoever had it took very good care of it though

Also, it didn't come with attachments. It did come with a weird bulky looking thing that I'm hoping is a walking foot.

I have some orphan presser feet that fit though.

The light bulb may be one that is a push in then turn bulb slightly to remove. Beautiful machine!

Yes, the light bulb is the twist and lock kind.

The bulb part came off and the brass "socket" part will not budge-it feels like it's stuck with corrosion

I like that machine.

My husband got the socket cleared and I picked up a new bulb for it

I opened up the little door that covers the bobbin winder and it looks like it has a new belt and bobbin winding tire

I had to go back and return an extra box of cams I found though

There were three sewing machines at this estate sale and the extra box of cams went to one of the other machines

I haven't been able to goof around with this machine very much as it's been a very busy weekend

I like having a cabinet though

Never had the cabinet before just tabletops and carrying cases

I bet this will be easier on my back. :)

This machine rocks so far!!!!!

It's easier on my back too.

I just finished a pile of mending.

Might try some piecing later.

Very happy with it!

Nice! I like Kenmores, I have 3 of them, all by different makers, and they are all good machines!

Congrats on your new machine!
