I had sent them an email, expressing my hopes for care on their end. They replied reassuringly. It was so well wrapped that the light bulb was still working!

Lots of bubble wrap!

Chuck is checking for any small parts, (like the screw the holds the light fixture) Now the other side of this is, Hillsboro is not very far away.
Oh BTW is was a Grand Damascus Rotary, came w an extra needle, an extra bobbin, and a zipper foot.
Not bad for $10 + shpg! It's a little tight, but nothing a little oil won't fix.

Love the Cat N the Box. Congrats on your purchase.

That's good to know. I'm about 90 miles from them. Just far enough where shipping is a little better option than driving there myself. Seattle is about the same distance but it's where I go for my treatments so I have more reasons to go that way instead.

Goodwill San Diego also does an awesome job of packing a sewing machine.

oldsewnsew - I'm so glad I'm not alone in the "machine in the mail" category!

at least your other half is in on it!! mine is questioning my sanity. she'll say "whats in the box?" to which my reply is "I don't remember"!!

Mine is different, she'll say 'no more sewing machines for you'. What to do what to do???

My other half is as bad as I am - so not really a good thing. I've got "play" money set aside and as long as I stay within my "budget" he doesn't have reason to gripe - well, unless he ends up tripping over them.

When that happens, I tell him to watch where he is going and pick up his feet!

And then I make him a carrot cake, or Italian creme cake, or cinnamon rolls, or one of his other favorites. It's rather easy when you are married to someone who has the way to their heart through their stomach.

sounds like "the best of all possible worlds to me"! Enjoy!!
