Little Elmo of the Muppets was

Little Elmo of the Muppets was designed by Kevin Clash and sewn on his Mom's FW. My grand-daughter and I watched the documentary on how Kevin Clash of Baltimore, MD. started making and doing puppets at age 7. He, eventually, became a Muppeteer when he graduated from highschool. He was told to come up with HIS Muppet that he would control and be the voice of, so home he went and designed his inner ego , Little Elmo, and sewed him on his Mom's FW on the kitchen table. He liked the control he had of the machine for the tight places he had to stitch. All of a sudden, my grand-daughter gained new respect for my little FW. Just wanted to share.

What a story! Maybe she'll be inspired to design something.

Ooh! I like this! Elmo was sewn on a featherweight! What a great story!
I hope your granddaughter learns to sew, and appreciates your FW even more.

My little niece is just entrance by Elmo. I'm going to have to save this story for when she is old enough to start sewing. :)
