Little Green Machine

If all goes well, I'll be adding a GE Sewhandy mini-green machine to my collection! A member of my quilt guild has it and is asking $40.00 for it. She's supposed to bring it to the meeting today. :):):)

I have one of those too. Cute. I couldn't get it to stitch til I realized the wheel goes away not towards. Have fun with it!

Nice find. You have to let us know how it works. If I understand it correctly, Singer bought up the rights to this machine and made the Featherweight. It comes with a nice story too ;- )

I got it! It's home now. Several of the ladies at the guild tried to buy it out from under me! :hunf: Ultimately, it did come home with me. :p

Yay for you! I wondered how you could get it for $40, that is a steal! You probably already have seen it, but here is an interesting article about different versions of the SewHandy.

What a beauty! Treat her with some TLC. This is the first one I've seen, lucky girl.

Such a cute little machine. I don't know much about the vintage machines but I love to look at them.

And........SHE SEWS! I rewired the controller and power cord by myself (First time to do so, I might add), and she sews wonderfully! ❤️

Surprisingly, no! I took pictures during every step as reference so I'd know how it should go back together. My biggest challenge was finding an older cord that would work. I was able to use an older motor/light block cord that I had. I'm becoming more confident in my machine refurbishing. I could see servicing other people's machines now.
