The little Singer Spartan that could-Part II

Hello to all,

Well after an intro to basic sewing and having made a couple of placemats and a few strip blocks, I decided to give it a go and see how I would do on a more challenging project. Since I had a few strip blocks completed, I thought a small runner or wall hanger made up of 10 bocks would be good for my first project. This morning I completed the front panel and will acquire some 1/8" batting tomorrow. I already have the back panel and edge binding. If all goes well, my sister will have her friend machine quilt the piece and I will go to my woodworking shop and make either a stand or a wall hangar to accommodate my project. Everything on this piece was done on my 52' Singer Spartan using a walking foot. In the future, I may attempt a larger project, maybe a lap quilt. I will try using one of my other machines such as my 99, 66, 128 or the little 221-1. Heck, with all this crazy weather, I might not be able to afford the cost to heat my home-lol. I guess one might say that this is a quilty kind of winter, and I live in the deep South!! Any criticism, comments, or suggestions is welcome and appreciated. Chow or now and happy quilting.
