Looking for info on Simplicity Serger

This may be the wrong section for my question, but maybe the forum guards will post it where it belongs.....

My sister has given me a Simplicity Serger that I don't know anything (at all) about. Will some of you ladies (men too) enlighten me on any particulars that I need to know about this machine. She says it has four cones of thread with it, and I am familiar with the 3-thread sergers only. I have used one quite a bit, and feel that I could learn to use this one, but I would like to know anything available on Simplicity sewing machines/sergers. I thought that was a pattern company, so the name is totally unfamiliar to me.

Thanks.....

Do you have a model #?

I have 2 sergers my oldest and first serger is a Simplicity
that my husband bought for me in Dec 2002 or 2003.

I have a four thread serger I bought back in 1980 or 81 (Huskylock). The "fourth" thread works like a locking stitch but more often than not, I don't use it. I will if I'm seaming something and not just overcasting. I used it a lot when I was making clothing - not so much now that most of my sewing is quilting.
