Looking For Parts for Singer Treadle

Where to find parts for the following antique Singer machines.

I have two antique Singer sewing machines: One is a treadle and I need a plate for over bobbin and presser feet and attachment part, Two is an antique Singer Portable electric machine in a wooden case! Need a new wooden top for the case. Thank you for your help.

What models? The bobbin slide plate and presser feet might be easily gotten at some online shops depending on the model. Are you talking about the wooden bentwood case? Those might be found on ebay.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I will get the models tomorrow. Not sure if the cover is Brentwood or not. Will see if it is marked. Thank you for your answers. You are helping me a lot and I really appreciate it! Yolanda

A bentwood case is a wooden case with a bent or domed top. It reminds me of the old rural mailboxes. Here is one for a non-Singer machine

Full size Singers and 3/4 sized one take different sized cases.

The cover is very similar to this one but not as elaborate. Thank you! At least I know what to call it when I am looking for it!

Bentwod tops are a bit fragile and don't survive like the bases do.
Iis rare to find one by itself.

Please be aware there are at least 3 different bentwood cases for Singer sewing machines. As Leon mentioned, "Full size Singers and 3/4 sized one take different sized cases." Actually, there are two different case bottoms for the 3/4 machines. I can never remember off the top of my head, which is shorter. I haven't tried to switch out the tops, either. I know someone had one that the wrong machine got put in and messed up the bottom.

If you post pictures or at least get the serial numbers we can probably tell you which machines you have. The serial numbers for Singer sewing machines are located on the bed of the machine in front (closest to you as you are sewing) of the pillar. I have seen and heard of machines not matching the serial number. Sometimes it is easy to misread or transpose serial numbers, which will give different results.

Another source to help identify Singer machines can be found at https://www.sandman-collectibles.com...r-machines.htm

I gave where to find the pdf and notes about posting pictures in my previous post.
