sure it can.... http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post6054775[/QUOTE
It looks like a section is removed from the solid wheel for the hand crank? Is that a custom job or is it something that is available as a kit? |
Hmm yes either replace the wiring or make it into a hand crank. Very nice!

She looks great and I wonder if you could make her into a hand crank? I have an old Singer clone but alas it has the solid wheel so it can't become a hand crank.

I'd do a motorectomy and put a hand crank on this one. The wiring looks scary dangerous! I love the decal set.

If you decide to sell, you must pm me!! I love it.. don't have that decal in my collection..........

Wiring is easy, and Sew-Classic sells both the spoked hand wheels and hand crank kits.

She's a beauty, but I'm not sure I would have had the nerve to try her out without replacing the wires first. Congratulations on your beautiful machine.

Very pretty machine. I have the 128-23=Godzilla, called so for the speckle finish. I made her a hand crank, so I'm sure you could make yours too. You could also make her into a treadle if you had the cabinet. Yours for the working as you see fit.

An update on my "looks positively dangerous" 128-13. Returning from a 10 day trip the cord from the company Joe recommended was waiting. I immediately rewired and plugged it to my "LPD" machine and now it "looks positively safe." I'm appreciative of the seller making that comment in his description so I got a machine no one can arm wrestle me out of.
