For $25 I have bought sight unseen an old sewing machine. My daughter spotted it at a garage sale. She said externally was in very good condition. I'm not sure if it's a treadle or electric, but think it has a wrought iron base. Have you ever heard of this brand (Green Bay)? My sister has one of those Boye sewing machine needle dispensers and checked for a brand on that but didn't find a GB machine listed. OBTW DD lives just outside of GB, WI.

I'm anxious to see it and when I find out more I will add to this thread. Thanks

This is a first for me also but like I was saying back in the early days of the sewing machine there were over 150 different manufacturers of sewing machine in America alone. And the chance of it being a badged machine (meaning someone elses machine, their name) is really strong. It could have been made for a department store or a sewing company in GB.

I can not wait to see the photos of it when you get it home and it does sound like a treadle if it had a cast base to it.
