Minnesota C

I have acquired a Minnesota C treadle machine and need a shuttle and needles as well as drawers for it. I have looked on EBay and only get confused as I don't know what to look for in size etc. Can anyone shed some light on my problem? I know it was made by Davis and was sold at Sears etc.

You'd need to watch ebay for the drawers. The full sized Davis shuttle measures 2-1/4" and is sometimes marked Davis. It is unique to Davis so Singer won't work. Needles are called Davis long and mostly Boye brand needles in a wood tube are sold on ebay. The cap on the tube has "10" on it. There is also a new industrial needle advertised as a Davis needle which are similar in dimensions to the originals. Usually substitute or replacement is mentioned in the description. They are called MTx190 or 190R which is not in the description. Size 90 / 14 is a medium sized needle. The lower the size the smaller the needle. The Boye needles are assorted sizes.
