Minnesota M sewing machine
I was given a Minnesota M sewing machine. It is in good working condition. Does anyone know when these were made? I am finding information on other Minnesota models but not the M model. Where can I find a manual for it? It has 10 bobbins included and a bunch of attachments, but I do not know how to use it.
The numbers on the back are 6152 on the machine then 4X934 on a plate attached to the machine. I could not get photos to attach. Sorry. The manage attachment section was not active. |
Welcome to the Board!
There's an entry for Minnesota M way down the page here: http://ismacs.net/sears/sears.html Once you pin down which company manufactured it and what model it copies it might be easier to find a manual. |
Thank you! I am excited to use this machine.

JoeJr put you on the right path. It appears the Minnesota M (1930s) is a White machine similar to a Franklin. ismacs.net has a manual for the Franklin (1920s) on the Domestic page - http://ismacs.net/domestic/home.html The manual link is http://ismacs.net/domestic/manuals/f...ng-shuttle.pdf
We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button. I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures. https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...p-location.jpg Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...d-t312607.html Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.
