Monarch sewing machine

My son just GAVE me a Monarch Deluxe portable sewing machine. I am interested in the history and age of this machine. I would send a picture, but it needs some serious serious cleaning - it has mildew all over it
After I clean it up, I will take pictures. My question is -Does anyone know where I can find information a bout this machine - googled it, and found nothing that helps.

Pictures would help. I'm guessing you have a 50's model of a Japanese 15 clone... :)

There she is - I read the little metal piece which is upside down by the way, says 1955 model, Japan

I have to admit I like the Japanese HA-1 15 clones. I have two maybe three. I'd clean it up and use it. Sure wouldn't try to right that badge. That's a hoot that it's upside down.

Fabaddict, that Monarch is not a a HA-1 15 clone - looks more like a 201 or a 66 - I'm not good at IDs - made in Japan though - upside down badge - cool - leave it - unique.
