Only in Texas ! I have been to a Quilt and Gun show where they were held in the same building, but not together. The men were getting out of their pick up trucks, carrying their guns and obviously as excited about the gun show, as we are about the quilt show. It seemed an odd match to have the shows on the same day, in the same building, but guys have their needs too. :)
I love your machine and you are fortunate to have such a thoughtful hubby !

jpmaroni 02-20-2011 04:43 AM

Wow, the machine and the DH are special!

#1piecemaker 02-20-2011 04:48 AM

Someone has a guilty conscience. You only THINK he didn't buy anything. Kinda like when my husband wanted new golf clubs. I always got a new sewing machine!

QuiltswithConvicts 02-20-2011 05:03 AM

Is she a 38 or a 45? She looks like she hasn't ever been used! WOW! I'll just bet she shoots straight, too! :-)

Just realized, you are my kind of quilter - wine rack in sewing space! Love it!

Jeanniebelle 02-20-2011 05:09 AM

WOW!!! You are very lucky. This is a fabulous find especially at a gun show. Did your DH also come home with a new gun? Mine would have. Jeanniebelle

stitchengramie 02-20-2011 05:31 AM

My grandma had the same type of sewing machine that your husband brought you. She taught me how to make my first doll quilt on it. She always told me to buy a Singer sewing machine. You have been well bless with a wonderful sewing machine and husband.

thequilteddove 02-20-2011 05:38 AM

Looks it over. Turns it up side down & side ways. Squeezes this button & that... hmmmmm wonders how the heck this weapon fires!?!?!

:) What a lucky girl you are! :) I learned to sew on a model of this vintage.

I've heard quilters really like piecing with these machines.

Tweety2911 02-20-2011 07:02 AM
