Hopefully, I've finally figured out how to post pictures! I've been lucky enough to find four Featherweights and a Featherweight table at two local Goodwill stores.

Featherweight Table - $9.99

Just found another 1952 Featherweight at Goodwill for $18.99

Wow! Awesome finds! :) Can't find stuff like that around here....:/

ILoveToQuilt 04-08-2018 06:01 PM

Holy Gaucamole, Batman! Those sure are some impressive prices!!! Our local Goodwill knows what FW are worth and you can't buy them for under $150 each. Never, ever see the tables around here.

Wow, wow, wow! Good for you! You will love your machines.

OMG what part of the world do you live?

Yeah, I would love to find one at that price. I've always wanted one but could'n't afford one.

Tartan 04-08-2018 08:32 PM

Astonishing!!

Bobbinalong 04-08-2018 11:43 PM

Goodness, just look at those prices. I managed to get a mid 1950's one with no accessories on eBay for £100 last year, but they go for up to £600.

I have never seen one in a charity shop.

QuiltMom2 04-09-2018 02:38 AM

I've looked for years, have never seen one in thrift store. No wonder, all of them must be in your neck of the woods!!

nwm50 04-09-2018 04:33 AM

My jaw Dropped upon looking at these beautiful machines and table! They are in great shape & you can tell someone took great care of them! You hit the lottery on these! Have fun using them!

Conchalea 04-09-2018 05:02 AM

What designates a table as specifically for a Featherweight?
and I’m in the same boat as the others-our Goodwill prices most things at near-retail price. Never any sewing machine bargains!

Calran 04-09-2018 05:16 AM

Lucky you, not where we live.

It has a cutout and brace so that the machine fits flush in the table. It's a folding table. It was made/sold for the featherweight. There's one for the 301, too. (I'm not sure if there are two different tables or just one that is adjustable.) I don't have one. I've just seen photos online.

Lucky you!

Jane Quilter 04-09-2018 05:47 AM

Lucky you. Around here, in virginia, they wont put them in stores, only on-line at very high prices. i stopped looking they are so crazy high.

luvstoquilt 04-09-2018 05:49 AM

Omg! Not available here for sure!!!

KalamaQuilts 04-09-2018 08:46 AM

A-mazing. I suspect it all lies in how often you go there.
I hit goodwill about twice a year, last time it was to find a couple of big pots for pet water bowls. I don't look at machines though :)

themadpatter 04-09-2018 09:22 AM

I lol'd at your user name. My last name is close to Edsel and it was one of my many nick names in high school. Do you collect those, too?

leaha 04-09-2018 10:17 AM

great finds and welcome to the FW club!!

Beachbaby12 04-09-2018 01:59 PM

Wow you sure are fortunate - happy for you! Been looking for a Featherweight table for a long time without luck. All of your purchases were unbelievably inexpensive.

Here's the Featherweight table with the insert removed and with the machine.

I have about 15 sewing machines, mostly. vintage, a few modern. Unfortunately, I have only one Edsel. :(

Love your featherweight table. Looks like it was in good shape.

SusieQOH 04-10-2018 04:10 AM

That's amazing!!!!!!!! I spent way more getting mine. Good for you!
And I've never come across a table.

luvstoquilt 04-10-2018 04:39 AM

I am going to get a table for mine and I have found one for the bargain price of $100, I have shopped at goodwill on line and they are pricy..the goodwill store here is as well and have never seen a featherweight or a Treadle there!!! In What part of the world are you???? I could find a Treadle easily in NJ when I lived there but haven't seen a deal in Illinois ever!

The base of the Featherweight is 7 inches wide. The 301 is only 5 3/4 inches wide at the base. The bed of the 301 is wider than the base. The top of the bed of the Featherweight is 6 1/2 inches

How about Pacer? By the way, nice wagon!

Treadle&Gears 04-10-2018 03:52 PM

I've never understood why people think those are so ugly.

leonf 04-11-2018 06:46 AM

This was at a small town nearby... Lots of $ put into a barn find. It had the standard lever for the automatic and an 390 under the hood.

newbee3 04-11-2018 08:09 AM

I never see anything like that at our goodwill

Me neither, our local reuse store wants ebay prices for their machine, no wonder they are still there. But I did buy a 301 for 45.00 and I was happy with that.

Quilterman 04-14-2018 09:27 AM

Wow, they must not sew much around your town. I did find my table for $3.50 at a thrift store. They didn't
know what it was and had just put it with other card tables.
