Today's machines are so plain looking but so complicated in their operation. Vintage and antique machines are so plain in performance but so beautiful in their appearance.

I have the same machine in a great parlor cabinet. I use the black rubber belt from Lehman's for treading- lets the machine run easier because the belt is looser and looks great. I keep the treadle open with a pile of scraps and sit down to make crumb blocks when I need some mindless sewing. It is a great machine.

that machine was made to last ......it's amazing how the old machines can keep running and running
