My FW won't sew

Hi friends,

I can't figure out what the problem is.
I have a white FW that I was oiling and lubricating. When I went to sew nothing happens. The motor runs and the belt runs but the wheel won't turn and the needle won't move. When I rotate the wheel by hand the needle works.

I've taken the wheel off, redid the belt, and just can't figure out what could be causing this.
I took the bobbin case apart and there is no thread jam.

Any ideas? I don't feel like taking it in but will if I have to.

TIA

Take off the motor belt, wipe it clean along with the groove in hand wheel and the motor pulley. Take the bottom pan off and the bobbin case, carefully check for pieces of thread, tip of a broken needle,... There are a few tutorials on this, showing all the details you knee to be aware of.

I'm sure you thought of this but make sure the stop motion screw (small wheel inside the handwheel) is tightened. Sometimes when I wind a bobbin, I forget to tighten it.

So glad my son came over. He fixed it in seconds!
I didn't have the motor screwed in enough. Duh!!
Thanks everyone, it's purring now.
