Is my Memory Craft Janome 5,000 Vintage ??

I purchased this new in 98'
I am looking to sell my Janome 5,000 & just seen this site after my posting F/S.
I have never had a problem with the awesome sewing/embroidery machine but now I wanted a Janome 11,000 SE model to be able to do quilting & larger format embroidery.

How old must a machine be to be considered Vintage ?
Thank you
Linda

I'd consider it "older" but not "vintage" as we tend to think of it here.... :)

Vintage is usually 1959 or earlier, antique is 1929 or earlier.

It's only 14 years old. No, it's not "vintage". It's not even "old".

For "ME" "vintage" is pre-plastic, pre-electronics, pre-computers. If it's got any of that nonsense on board, it ain't vintage.

I know I'm just an anachronism.

I agree with your definition.

Did you sell your Janome 5000? Mine was stolen several years ago and I would love to have another. It is a great machine and I still have many accessories for it.
