I finally managed to finagle a deal on one of these very very rare machines.
It is on the way to my house as of today! I do not have a solid date for it yet, but I believe it is a model #9 and I believe it dates from before 1870 |
Congrats!! Good for you!! - pretty base! I just happened to read about their history and operation when I was surfing around the net today! I'm sure it will be fun to play with :)

Congrats on your new machine. hope you have lots of fun with it. never find anything around here like that. Maybe are some but are kept a deep secret. Glad you could get it.

Wow, I've never seen one like that before. You no doubt will turn it into a showpiece.
|
It's FABULOUS! Such a beautiful machine. . .I love the simple lines of it.
|
Very cool. It's almost minimal in design.
|
It will be interesting to see what year you find on that, I know someone that has three. two are open stands, but the flywheel is mounted center and sideways , the other is a parlor it's flywheel is on the right side, none of the heads are that style. from what I have seen in photo's they put the flywheel on the side in the 70's ???????????
This has ladys 160 + treadles hand cranks and toys. then start counting the eletric's and homeless heads LOLOL.. |
OMG...I am so envious!
|
Color me green with envy... Hmmmm, wonder if I could somehow divert that shipment to my house....
|
Steve, you come up with the most amazing machines...... this one is spectacular.... I really love the simple lines.... a work of art.
