Well, I was given this machine for parts, I could not see myself trashing Her. I cleaned Her up and put a Hand Crank on Her. She sews beautiful and is so smooth running. I am so lucky to have friends who think of me when it comes to the old girls. It is a Singer 127 . 1925 as far as I can tell. I have named Her 'Chance" because I took a chance on Her and She came out beautiful!!!!!

Two thumbs up for you. I won't part one out either. And that one was way to nice to be destroyed.

I can't imagine anyone destroying a machine, it even makes me sad to see people use them as lamps and the treadle bases for plant stands, but I guess it is better than just totally throwing them away. Thanks everyone for the coments, it means a lot to me. Everyone have a wonderful labor day week end.

Very pretty. I always consider it a challenge to turn a parts machine into a working machine.

Grammyh67,
Beautiful 127! I'm so happy you rescued her. The decals are so pretty!
I used to have a Featherweight that I named, "The Phoenix", she was to be a parts machine, no decals left,no bobbin case. It wouldn't sew at first, I started cleaning all the lint out and removed the thread from behind the bobbin case base, the hand wheel finally moved! I after her spa treatment and amazingly she purred and sewed a beautiful stitch.
She went to a lady that wanted a FW that didn't cost more than $200.
