I am so over the moon to have this machine! I fell in love at first sight but have been waiting agonizing weeks to find out if I would get to buy her. I came down sick this week so haven't had much chance yet for clean-up, but she was obviously well cared for. Any suggestions on the best place to buy a new treadle belt for her would be appreciated. I only had a minute of fun treadling her, before the old belt broke. Everything appears to be in working order. I got some accessories for her too and the 6 side drawers are all packed full with binding, ric-rac, lace and such!

What a beautiful machine and cabinet. Have you tried sew classic for the belt?

Thank you. I just contacted Cindy Peters for a belt. :)

Was that from Petaluma? I fell in love with a well priced Tiffany decal machine down there but it was gone by the time I had worked up the courage. :) It's lovely!

Yes! Are you local? I am messaging you. :D

Wait, I am from a tiny state, I have a tiny state sense of scale. How far away can you be in California and still be "local"? xD

I'm jealous. I have looked and looked for a 115, every time I come on to a Tiffany, I go into my secret mode .

slowly look under the bed, pretending to be looking to see if it has a bobbin. yet making sure no one see's me. when digging in the Fred stash, two Tiffany's , rats !!! They are both just plain ol 15"s.

I brought them home any way.

It looks like you have real good color it that one, be careful the color on these wash away real easy, even just using SM oil

I take it this is your first treadle, this new belt. The tighter the belt, once installed, the harder it will be to treadle. You want a semi loose belt. plan on readjusting it several times when new. in other words poking new holes.

don't toss your old belt away, unless it breaking in short pieces like 6". I have have and use belts made up of pieces of old ones, one is made of about 6 pieces and works good

if it's a belt that looks like it's coating with something shinny ( shellac ? ) I've found those will slip, so I have been using sand papar and removing the shinny glaze

Oooh, that's pretty!!! I have a 15 with this same decal pattern but mine is in pretty bad shape (silvered & worn off decals, chipped paint, lots of rust...it's my "practice" machine for learning how to fix up old machines, LOL) It's nice to see one that's so good looking! I had no idea one was so close to me! (I live about 15 miles from Petaluma) But I'm glad you got it, I wouldn't have had room for it anyway. :)

But now I need to know what the difference between a 15 and a 115 is! (I'll look it up later.)

I needed to know too. Now I am extra envious.

Nice Machine. Sew-Classic also has treadle belts.
