I just got this 301A off of eBay, and with shipping and all just under $100. I had to order a power cord and foot control separately. I haven't gotten them yet, so I haven't been able to try her motor. Everything moves smoothly by hand, though, so I am very optimistic!!

Isn't she lovely? She is pretty dirty, and I will be giving her a good cleaning over the next week. She is going to be my "travel" partner for classes, quilt friendship group and guild meetings and will live in my wheelie tote. My other machines are a hassle to take down and put back together for a short time sewing. I named her after my maternal grandmother, Ida Mae Rottmann, who loved all fabric and sewed all the clothing and quilts for her whole family of 8 children on a treadle Singer on a farm in central Missouri.

She is a beauty. Hope she runs as good as she looks. Congrats. Love her name and the namesake is wonderful.
