Not sure exactly what the year is on this machine but it is my Grandmothers and she is giving it to me. Im excited to use it!!!

I had one like that - a real workhorse! It is easy to maintain, and after following the manual a couple times, you can take it apart and put it back together with ease!!!! I swear mine would sew through plywood using barbwire instead of thread, anything at all I asked of it, the truly un-fussy machine.

What a nice machine! It looks almost new. I like machines from that time frame. It looks like it will be a dependable work horse that will give you years of joy. Have fun!!! And oh so special your grandmother is giving it to you. It looks like it is in a blond cabinet. Even better. Those older machines in cabinets are so pretty!

That machine looks an awful lot like my very first sewing machine! I was 13 or 14 at the time. I make lots and lots of clothes using that workhorse!! I just loved Kenmore machines. They always worked so well. :wink:

you are so lucky, that machine is a real workhorse and the stitches are beautiful.

i teach quilting at the senior center and we have 3 of them and everyone rushes to get on them for the class.
