Necchi Nora

Here is the 1959 Necchi Nora I got last weekend. Got the foot pedal, the clear embroidery foot, the manual (filled with interesting papers and stitch tests) and all. twelve. cams!
She only sewed the straight stitch (shipped upside-down!), but I don't think the shipping caused it. It took about 4 hours to take apart, fix the stitch length and un-jam the ziz-zag, and clean everything up. She runs verrrrry smooth by hand, but I won't get to try out the motor till the weekend probably. The coolest thing is it can be treadled!! The Nora is one that was still available for non-electric setup. Mine has the Necchi Sewing Circle motor added by the US distributor. I have this idea how to convert a cabinet... |
These are great machines and this one looks brand new. Gotta admit, I am jealous, Enjoy treadling with this machine.

I have a Julia, and it also can be treadled. They are super neat machines.

At least some of the Supernovas have push out plugs so they can be treadled, also.

Memories for me. My grandparents had sewing machine shops in New Paris, IN and Sebring, FL back in the 50's, 60's and 70's, they sold Necchi's and Elna's. Grandma taught sewing and also machine embroidery. My mom still has her Elna from the 50's. But being 95 now, hasn't used it in years. I just may ask her for it, get it cleaned and then use it. They were both marvelous machines.

Hello everybody.
I've got an old necchi Nora from my deceased mom. Nearly the same as the pink one but there is a round button instead of a lever. It needs to be cleaned and verified. But i could not find the user manual. Someone could help me to find a copy ? |

Someone could help me to find a copy ?... I don't do facebook, but it looks there is a vintage Necchi group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/274550172743404/ I have not done business with either of the following links for manuals. http://www.necchimanuals.com/Necchi_...on_Manuals.htm https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/in...cchi-nora.aspx I know there are some members on Quilting Board that live in Norway and France. Perhaps one might have some additional sources. Good luck. The Italian Necchi machines are good machines. Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. |
